There’s no escaping the zombie apocalypse,

as the walkers shuffle their way into a second

season of one of the most emotionally gruelling

point-and-click adventures you’ll ever play.

If you survived the first season unscathed

then you’ll remember little Clementine. She’s

the main character now, and it’s up to you to

make choices that will see her survive the

unending undead onslaught and make it to the

apparent safety of Michigan. It’s all based on

Robert Kirkman’s comic book series, which

the TV show was also spun off from. If you’re

expecting all your fave TV characters to pop up

then you’ll be disappointed, but if you’re after a

truly engaging adventure that will have you truly

caring for the characters, then walk this way.

If you’re the one person left who thinks comic

books are just for kids, let’s have a little chat.

Actually, just take a look at this point-and-click

adventure fromTelltale, the guys behind

The

Walking Dead

game, and your mind will be

changed. Based on the DC Comics series

Fables

by revered comic writer and artist Bill Willingham,

TheWolf Among Us

is set in a gritty, Sin City-

esque Manhattan. Except this one also features

characters from myth, lore and legend – from

SnowWhite to the Three Little Pigs – walking

among us. You’re Sheriff Bigby Wolf (get it?),

who’s responsible for their main hangout

Fabletown and keeping all that law and order

stuff lawful and orderly. Presented in five parts,

fans of classic adventuring and comic aficionados

alike will find much to sink their fangs into.

While the players hog the limelight and happily

absorb the glory (if they’re playing well), the

team manager generally just gets things done

in the background. They also take the fall if

the team underperforms. It’s these possibly

smelly shoes into which you plop for this latest

incarnation of the incredibly deep Football

Manager series. This isn’t a case for tiny

changes, either, with a complete redesign of the

user interface making things easier than ever to

manage your club’s ins and outs, while ‘Match

View’ receives a WAG-worthy facelift. Now,

select what style of manager you wish to be

– from tracksuit-clad field hoverer to backroom

suit – and get down to the serious business of

ensuring that your team doesn’t suck. After all,

unemployment’s rife these days.
