20,000 trade visitors from 80 countries and
regions during the 3-day show. According to
the organisers, this event received a 90 per
cent approval rating from visitors.
Exhibitors expected to return in April
include Shanghai Baosteel Group Corp,
China Petroleum & Chemical Corp, Anshan
Iron and Steel Group Corp, Inductotherm,
NSK, Saet Group-Emmedi, Maharashtra
Seamless Ltd, and Linsinger.
Exhibits will include seamless steel tube,
stainless steel tube, seamless special-
shape tube, carbon steel tube, cold drawn
seamless steel tube, boiler tube, steel
construction tube, composite steel tube,
hot galvanizing steel tube, fittings and
valves.
In addition, the event will feature steel tube
machinery and equipment such as welding
equipment, control/inspection technology,
surface engineering technology, corrosion
preventive technology, and electric welding
technical equipment.
This year’s event is expected to offer more
opportunities for both foreign and domestic
manufacturers and purchasers.

(ChTPZ) and Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant
(PNTZ), have announced a series of
production and sales results for 2007.
The two shipped 1,471,000 tons of pipe
products to customers from January to
September 2007. This was an increase of
15 per cent compared to the same period
in 2006 (1,280 thousand tons).
From January to September of last year,
ChTPZ sold 803,800 tons of pipes – 13 per
cent more than the same period of 2006
(708,800t). The company also shipped
444 thousand tonnes of large-diameter
pipes, 21 per cent higher than for January-
September of 2006 (367,600t).
In September 2007, Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling
Plant shipped 86,200t of pipe products
to customers, a decrease of 11 per cent
compared to September 2006 (97,200t). For
this period the plant shipped 42,700t of large-
diameter pipes, 16 per cent less than for the
same month in 2006 (50,700t).
In September 2007, PNTZ shipped 76
thousand tonnes of pipe products to
customers, an increase of 5 per cent
compared to September 2006 (72,100t).
From January to September 2007 the plant
shipped 667,500t of products – 17 per cent
more than for the same period of 2006
(571 thousand tonnes).
The total turnover of the ChTPZ Group
exceeds US$3 billion. The Group employs
more than 25,000 people.
