Like a lot of things

in Texas, the

“Big Hoss” video

screen is suppos-

edly the largest in

the world.

ARENAS, FIELDS, AND FANS

highlight videos, commercials, announce-

ments, and more are shown on the enormous

screen. And it’s all in high-definition video.

But by 2013, the Cowboys screen was in

second place. Houston’s Reliant Stadium or-

dered a screen 52 feet tall and 277 feet wide.

The stadium claimed the scoreboard had the

largest screen in sports.

That distinction lasted for only a year. The

Texas Motor Speedway, home to NASCAR rac-

ing, built “Big Hoss TV” and claimed “world’s

largest” status. The screen there, built over
