Scenario 1:
Overfill of gasoline tank during import from a ship leading to a potential open
vapour cloud explosion possibly causing up to 3 on-site fatalities and 5 off-site fatalities.
Scenario 2:
Overfill of gasoline tank during import from a ship leading to a potential flash
fire potentially causing a single on-site fatality.
Domino effects have been examined but not considered relevant in the LOPA. It is
considered highly unlikely that there would be any offsite domino effects as there is
sufficient distance separating Local Fuel with neighbouring facilities. Onsite domino
effects could lead to an expansion of a possible fire after the initial explosion which is
unlikely to cause any further fatalities or to an environmental release, which is discussed
below.
