climate reporting as required by the
City’s commitment made in October
2015;
Complete all needed climate reporting
(corporate and community level
energy use and emissions), including
with the Province of BC, the
Federation of Canadian Municipalities
Partners for Climate Protection
program, and through the City’s
commitments to the Mexico Pact;
Assess the new environmental
education outreach program (water,
waste, and energy) developed with
Engineering and being delivered in
Surrey schools in the 2015-2016
school year;
Support organizing for 2016 Party for
the Planet and deliver an on-site
activation;
Complete the Sustainability Charter

priorities such as service level
responses. Align as needed with ISO
reporting. Develop a responsive
(mobile) Dashboard website and
subsequently explore its inclusion in
the “My Surrey” App;
Continue to raise the City’s
sustainability profile through events
(e.g., Party for the Planet April 2016)
and social media, as well as staff
involvement in various networks,
meetings and conferences; and
Further refine ideas and objectives
regarding a Surrey-based City Studio
(Co-Lab) model for student
engagement in City planning,
innovation and other needs.
