Method Name/Manuscript Title
Determination of labeled fatty acids content in milk products and
infant formula by capillary gas chromatography GC/FID
Manuscript Reference
In your experience using the method, does
the method perform according to the
method’s applicability as written?
Yes, for the fatty acids targeted.
In your experience with the method, is there
any safety concerns identified while using or
regarding use of the method?
No, not if the proper personal protective equipment is used.
Do you have any information that supports
regarding the reproducibility of the method
as written:  If so, please specify and submit
information?
The qualification sample done prior to the collaborative study was
done in triplicate.  That data has been provided already to the study
coordinator.
Please attach any documentation to support
your feedback, if available.
Based on your experience with the method,
are there any recommended changes to the
AOAC First Action Method as written?
Since the fatty acid distribution in natural samples is not even (that is,
some are very high level while others are very low), consider the use
of multiple calibration standards of different concentrations for more
accurate quantitation.
