AQUATIC CENTERS
Aquatic Centers typically consist of a 25-meter or 50-meter pool with capacity for six or more lanes. In
California and other warm climates, many of these competitive pools are located outdoors and can host swim
meets, water polo matches, and diving competitions. The marketability of these facilities is based on the size
of the pool (length and lane capacity), the seating for attendees, whether the complex has diving wells, and
the cost to rent the complex.
Within 200 miles of Morgan Hill there are 29 Aquatic Centers, eight of which are within 50 miles of Morgan
Hill. Most of these facilities are located north of Morgan Hill with several clusters being found in the Bay
Area. Most these Aquatic Centers are associated with a local high schools, junior colleges, or universities.
