6.1 An employee who plans for adoption or the placement for adoption of a child or for the
placement of a child in foster care should notify the supervisor/manager as soon as he is aware of
the timeframe.
6.2 The employee must attach the appropriate certification documents for the adoption, placement
for adoption, or foster care and placed in the employee’s personnel file.
6.4 The supervisor/manager is responsible for entering approved paid time-off is entered into the
City’s time-keeping system.
