Acceptable Wear Standards
Acceptable Wear-and-Tear Standards Analysis
GM Financial’s third-party inspection partner will contact a customer approximately 45 days prior to the lease
maturity date to schedule a pre-maturity inspection. We encourage all lease customers to have their inspection
done onsite at the GM dealership where they leased the vehicle.
Below is an outline of normal wear-and-tear conditions at the end of a customer’s lease. This list is intended
to be a guide, and is not inclusive of all charges that may apply. Additional excess wear-and-tear charges not
outlined may still be applicable. Wear-and-tear conditions exceeding these standards are considered excessive
and may result in additional charges.
