APPRENTICES' DEBATING SOCIETY.

The Auditor's Report to the President

•of the Society on the work of the Debating

Society during 1937-38 states, inter alia,

that the number of members of the Society

attained to the highest number yet reached.

Inter-debates were held with the Incor

porated Law Society of Northern Ireland

Apprentices' Society, and with the Societies

of Kings' Inns, University College, Trinity

College and Belvedere College.

Members of the Debating Society were

afforded facilities for listening to debates

in the Dail.

The Auditor acknowledges the financial

assistance received by the Society from the

funds

of the

Incorporated Law Society

of Ireland.

The Final Examination is fixed to be held

on Tuesday and Wednesday, the 4th and

5th days of October. Notice to attend to

be lodged before 13th September.

The

" First " Examination

in Irish

is

fixed to be held on Friday, the 7th day of

October. The " Second " Examination in

Irish is fixed to be held on Friday and

Saturday, the 7th and 8th days of October.

Notice to attend either examination to be

lodged before 16th September.

The Preliminary Examination is fixed to

be held on Monday and Tuesday, the 10th

and llth days of October. Notice to attend

to be lodged before 19th September.
