26. Building Naming
Please indicate that the name of the building will not be changed to that of a competitor during CareFirst’s
occupancy.
Landlord Response: Provided that CareFirst maintains an occupancy equal to or greater than
the second largest Tenant in the building, the name of the building will not be changed to that
of a competitor during CareFirst’s occupancy. Please provide a list of such competitors.
27. Signage/Graphics
CareFirst intends to install or upgrade signage in and about the Building. Please indicate Landlord’s ability to
make the following signage opportunities available to CareFirst: an additional prominent sign on each
Building’s exterior.
 Prominent exterior signage somewhere on the Building façade;
Landlord Response: Acceptable. The location and design of such signage shall be agreeable to
Merritt and shall be subject to approval from all local government authorities.
 Exterior signage on or about the front entrance of the Building;
Landlord Response: Acceptable. The location and design of such signage shall be agreeable to
Merritt and shall be subject to approval from all local government authorities.
 Retail-like signage if CareFirst occupies Lobby Level space;
Landlord Response: Acceptable. The location and design of such signage shall be agreeable to
Merritt and shall be subject to approval from all local government authorities.
 Monument signage in front of the Building;
Landlord Response: Acceptable. The location and design of such signage shall be agreeable to
Merritt and shall be subject to approval from all local government authorities.
 Signage in the Building’s main lobby (other than the lobby directory);
Landlord Response: To the extent CareFirst occupies 75% or more of any one building; CareFirst
shall be permitted prominent signage in the main building lobby.
 Lobby directory;
Landlord Response: CareFirst currently controls the lobby directories.
