Strength
Training Basics
When properly performed, strength training can provide significant
functional benefits and improvement in overall health and well-
being. Led by a certified personal trainer that will design a program
right for you, this class will help increase bone, muscle, tendon
and ligament strength, improve joint function, reduce potential for
injury, increase metabolism and bone density, as well as elevate HDL
(good) cholesterol and cardiac function. No class October 14 & 16.

Don’t be intimidated by free weights. A personal trainer will set up
a program with your needs in mind that will help you build, tone,
and streamline your muscles. These exercises can help prevent
osteoporosis, build strength & stamina, tone and firm muscles
while improving your daily living activity. *No class November 28 -
makeup day will be Wednesday, November 27.
