Chchinna
The hands in
alapadma hasta
are
placed on the hips. The hip is moved
rhythmically. The
sthana
is
Vaisakha.
46.
Vrishchikarechitha
One foot is bent backwards like
Vrischika
(scorpion.) The hands are held in
Svastika. They are moved and stretched to
both sides, and then held in
Dolahastha.
The hips are bent a little.
47.
Vrischika
The hands are bent over the shoul-
ders. One leg is bent forward and the other
held at the back like a scorpion's tail. The
hip should be bent down. The hands hold
the
mudra kartarihastha.
48. Vyamsitha
Hands should be in an embracing
posture and placed on the chest. The dancer
must stand in
Alida sthana.
Then hands
must move up and down in a jerking
manner. One palm is turned up and the
other turned down.
49.
Kunchitha
The right leg is folded and bent.
Right hand is turned downwards and fol-
lowed by the left hand turned upward.
The feet are in
Agratalasanchara.
50.
Krantaka
One foot is bent and faces back-
ward. The other foot is bent and stretched
forward. Hands are let down loose and held
close to the body. The hands are held in
katakamukha hasta.
51.
Lalatatilaka
One foot is held backward, like
a scorpion's tail. Then the left foot is
made to touch the forehead with its toe.
52.
Parsvaniknttitha
Hands are held in Svasthika hasta
to one side. One foot is placed on the thigh
and the other placed in normal position.
The face rests on the left shoulder.
53.
Chakramandala
Both the hands are hung down-
ward. Body is made to bend with the legs
apart. Hands are placed on the thighs and
the right hand alone is bent.
54.
Uromandalam
The feet are crossed over one an-
other as in
Swasthika.
The heels are placed
closer with the toes apart. Hands em-
brace the chest. Then the feet are sepa-
rated and perform
Apaviddha.
55.
Akshiptha
Both the hands and feet are rotated
and brought together in a whirling move-
ment.
56.
Thalavilasitham
One foot is raised and stretched to
the side with the toes and feet facing up.
The palm of the hand of the same side
touches the underneath of the leg. The
same is repeated with the other foot and
hand also. Hands will be holding
Pataka
hasta.
57. ArgaJa
One foot should be stretched back-
ward. The body is bent back and supported
by the hands and feet on ground. Hands
hold
Alapadma hasta.
58.
Vikshipta
Both hands and feet are moved to
back and then to the sides in the same
manner. Hands will be holding
Lata hasta.
59.
Avartham
One foot is folded as in
kunchitha
and turned round very quickly. Hands are
moved in unison with the foot movements.
Hands will be
Dola hastha.
60.
Dolapada
Feet is folded and moved from
one side to other side. Hands hold
dolahasta.
Movement of the hands will
be in harmony with that of the feet.
