Call Name and Number

This feature will take the mystery out of

answering the phone

Call Name and Number lets you identify callers before you pick up the phone.

On most calls you receive, Call Name and Number shows you

• The caller’s name

• The caller’s phone number

• The time and date of the call

Information is displayed on a special display unit sold separately.*

How to Use Call Name and Number

1. When you receive a call, wait until your telephone completes the first ring.

2. With proper display equipment, the telephone number and the name of the

person calling you will automatically appear on your display screen.

3. If you choose to answer the call, the number will remain on the screen until

you or the other caller hangs up.

*Display equipment is required and must be purchased separately. Equipment options may vary. Instructions

included with display unit.

*If the letter “P” or “Private” appears on the screen, the caller may have blocked the display of their phone number

before placing the call. You can choose to answer the call or not.

*If an “O” or “Out Of Area” appears, the caller is in an area that does not support caller ID services.

Call Name and Number Blocking

Lets you block your phone number from

others who have caller ID

For privacy or maintaining the anonymous identity of your phone number, you

can prevent others with caller identification display equipment from knowing

your number by using Caller Number Delivery Blocking. The person you’ve called

will not be able to see your number on their telephone display screen. Instead, a

“P” or “Private” will be displayed.

*If you wish to unblock your name and number per call, press *82.
