In the column “expressed in dry product” with “no A0 Correction” the erroneously measured fructan
content is for all constituents, except Vivinal GOS and Litesse II polydextrose, at the LOQ level or
slightly higher. In this case a blank correction gives a significant improvement., especially for Vivinal
GOS and Litesse II polydextrose. However it is an unrealistic situation that in the tested pure
constituents low contents of fructan should be analyzed. Moreover those pure ingredients are
certainly not included in the scope of this method
Thus it can be concluded that the specificity of this new method is good.
