a building contract. The Council disapprove of

any stipulation which imposes on the puchaser

the builder's costs of a building contract.

The provisions of the Solicitors' Act, 1954 (Pro

fessional Practice, Conduct and Discipline) Re

gulations, 1955 and in particular paragraphs 5. 6,

and 7 are apposite.

EUROPEAN INTEGRATION

The Netherlands Universities

foundation

for

International Co-operation are holding an Inter

national Summer Course on

legal aspects of

European Integration in Amsterdam from August

19th to 31st 1968. The course is being conducted

exclusively in the English language. Lecturers in

the course are professors who have gained ex

perience in the field of integration through their

professional connections with the European Com

munities, Benelux, and O.E.C.D. Applicants to

this course should be graduates in Law, Econo

mics or Political Science. Subjects to be dealt

with during the course will be human rights, ex

ternal relations, legal aspects of the agricultural

policy, legal aspects of the competition policy. Of

particular interest to lawyers will be the course

on the relationship between International law and

National

law

and

between

community

and

National law, the decisions in the European Com­

munities and European Integration in retrospect.

Mr. Barrett asked the Minister for Justice if he

will state, in respect of each of the three years

ended

respectively 31st December,

1965,

31st

December, 1966, and 31st December, 1967, and

in respect of each district probate registry,

(a)

the total amount received by the Exchequer by

way of probate or administration fees and stamp

duties; (b) the number of applications for grants

of probate or administration made by the appli

cants in person; and

(c)

the total number of

all applications for grants of probate or adminis

tration.

No record

is kept of Revenue stamp duties

payable on documents lodged in District Probate

Registries. The amount of such duties would,

however, be insignificant.
