Figures 8-23 to 8-26 show deployment along with all workload from other-initiated calls, police-initiated

calls, directed patrol activities, and out-of-service (noncall) activities.

Observations:

For winter:

Average workload was 2.3 officers per hour during the week and 1.8 officers per hour

on weekends.

This was approximately 41 percent of hourly deployment during the week and

39 percent of hourly deployment on weekends.

During the week, workload reached a maximum of 57 percent of deployment between

2:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

On weekends, workload reached a maximum of 64 percent of deployment between

10:45 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

For summer:

Average workload was 3.1 officers per hour during the week and 2.8 officers per hour

on weekends.

This was approximately 53 percent of hourly deployment during the week and

57 percent of hourly deployment on weekends.

During the week, workload reached a maximum of 67 percent of deployment between

1:45 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.

On weekends, workload reached a maximum of 76 percent of deployment between

5:45 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
