knitted mesh gasket can be used in
automobile industry, chemical industry,

Continuous casting technology specialist
Rautomead’s graphite furnace technology
is particularly suited for production of high
purity, high quality oxygen-free copper
wire rods and copper alloy wire rods
(copper silver, copper magnesium, copper
tin).
The upward casting equipment may be
used to manufacture rods of all diameters
between 8mm and 30mm diameter and
is suitable feedstock for wire drawing and
continuous rotary extrusion processes.
End use applications include super ne
wire, automotive wires, contact wire
and trolley wires for high speed trains,
data communication cables, CTC and
transformer strips as well as enamelled
wires.

Rautomead has completed two versions
of the RS 3000 model, and these will be
available for sale during wire 2014. Both
machines have production capacity of
5,700tpyr and can be used to produce
CuOF, CuMg, CuAg, DHP or CuSn (or a
combination of alloys).
Both machines can be used to produce
any rod size between 8mm and 22mm
diameter and can be adapted for 30mm
diameter.
Rautomead’s research and development
facility at the factory in Dundee (upward
casting equipment, technicians, design
and operational experience) is available
to companies who wish to commission
experimental and research work to
develop technology and tooling for the
manufacture and processing of new
alloys and materials. The company’s
partnership with the University of
Dundee provides access to sophisticated
laboratory equipment as well as support
with analytical evaluation and academic
contributions to the R&D e ort.
Rautomead will also be introducing a
new improved furnace design. This new
furnace retains the essential graphite
crucible and heating technology, but with
improved thermal e ciency for lower
operating cost and with extended period
between furnace maintenance to increase
productivity.

Ravni Technologies

The new range of wire straightening and
cutting machines from Ravni Technologies
has been successfully launched.
The MDC30 is equipped with the servo
cutting device and the user-friendly
control panel. This machine cuts within a
range of 3 to 10mm and operates at a rate
of 30 to 130mpm.
All machine functions can be found on the
user-friendly control panel, which displays
the di erent stages of the production
process.
