When registering you will have to pay these fees:

€ 80 to € 100 (without theoretical lessons)
€ 120 to € 200 (incl. theoretical lessons)

€ 30 per lesson (45 min.) Total number of lessons to be taken
depends on driver’s ability; generally 4-6 lessons are required.

You can order study material to prepare yourself for the theoretical test.
The prices above are only estimated since they vary from driving school to driving school.
The total costs for obtaining a German driving license are around €1,000 if you have to pass
both theoretical and practical tests.

Please participate in a “first aid course” („Lebensrettende Sofortmaßnahmen am
Unfallort“).
The “Deutsches Rotes Kreuz” (Red Cross) or the “Arbeiter Samariter Bund” are organizations
that offer first aid courses. (Addresses later in the chapter)
Some driving schools may as well offer “first aid courses”. Please check with your driving
school.
Duration:
around 1 day (around 8 hours per 45 min.)
Cost:
around € 25
You also need to take a sight-test.
Please go to any optician and ask for a sight-test. At some “first aid courses” it is possible to
take a sight-test as well. Please check with the organization. Please take your passport with
you as proof of identity. This sight-test will be valid for two years.
