Snelgrove

Kathleen Barber

continues in her church, which is

amalgamating with a neighbouring church – an exciting time

due to massive redevelopment.

Teresa Woods Snelgrove

continues to work for ProfitH and on the boards of Georgian

College and New Path, and enjoys spending time with her

grandchildren.

Susan (Sue) Gudernatch Dreyfus

returned

to work as an oncology nurse following her husband’s

death. She is recovering from a fall, which tore her Achilles

tendon and was followed by a tendon transplant.

Katharine (Kathy) Batten Johnson

has been living

in Australia for 36 years. Last year, Kathy had back

surgery and two knee replacements, but she still plays

bridge three times a week. She will be attending her

granddaughter’s wedding on Vancouver Island in August.

Anne Royden Gerken

and her husband will travel to

England and plan to celebrate their 50th anniversary in

Colorado and Utah in the fall. Their youngest daughter is

getting married in August.

Diane (Di) Davies

and

Janice

(Jan) Coe Parks

attended their 50-year nursing reunion

at The Briars. Di travelled to New York City, Victoria and

Edmonton, where she spent Christmas with family. Jan

continues to volunteer at the resale shop, which benefits

children, and became a first-time grandparent with the

birth of her daughter’s daughter Olivia.

Jane Watson

chaired the World Junior Girls

Championship at her golf club. Last June, she and

Janice

(Joey) Bell Brown

circumnavigated Newfoundland with

Adventure Canada and visited several UNESCO World

Heritage sites there. Joey also travelled to Amsterdam

and took a boat tour along the Danube.

Di Nugent Cathro

celebrated her 70th birthday

with a party and a surprise 10-day trip to Italy.

Yolande

(Lani) Nugent Moses

is planning a trip to Spain and

will celebrate her 70th birthday on Fogo Island.

her 70th and her brother’s 80th at Woodbine Race Track

on Thanksgiving weekend. She has put her volunteer

work on hold to spend more time with her husband.

Andrea Moore Ritchie

70th party at Nottawasaga Inn on Family Day weekend

and she welcomed another granddaughter, making it 13

to make their communities a little better. Jackie keeps

very busy ‒ she volunteers at a local elementary school,

delivers Meals on Wheels, leads a cycling group at a local

seniors’ centre and sings in her church choir. It was so

good to hear from

Glyn Varcoe Hethey

, who reports that

she sings in an

a cappella

choir. When floods hit High River

three years ago, Glyn and her husband were not affected,

so they were able to help those in need. Barb sits on the

very active board of Transition House, which provides

short-term housing for men recovering from addiction.

Catherine (Cathy) Fauquier

is on the board of Concerts

in Care, which provides musical entertainment for seniors

in residential care.

Luba Frastacky

has a great deal of fun

volunteering at the Catherine Steele Archives and is part of

the core group arranging the indoor rowing events for next

September’s Invictus Games.

Only a small number of our class reported in, hopefully

because the others were too busy travelling, volunteering

or just having too much fun. One final note: don’t forget our

Class Fund, please!
