tolerance power cables and new
specification overhead conductor, with
its latest line of rigid stranding
machines.
The stranders have been designed to
deliver accurate back tension, smooth
strand deviation and precise lay control.
Equipped with the heavy-duty
compacting head (die/roll/prespiral
Milliken), these features translate into
quality compacted conductor for low,
medium and extra high voltage power
cables. Enhanced cage speeds and
use of fully automatic bobbin batch
loading systems (floor type or side
trolley type) ensure higher production
efficiency and uptime, features required
for overhead conductor manufacture.
Also on display will be recently
developed heads for the manufacture
of latest generation HTLS/TW over-
head conductor.
AEI is focused on the development

AIM will be presenting the AFC
Compact 3D Bender. The AFC 6 has
been growing in popularity due to the
small investment, versatility, small
footprint and low-cost maintenance.
The AFC Compact enables smaller
companies to bring in automation and
larger ones to offset current capacity.
A standard one-year warranty, slip ring
technology, DXF/XYZ importation,
animation simulator and ease of
programming are a few of the features
of the AFC Series machines. In
addition, robotics, external chamfering
and other ancillary devices can be
integrated.
Upgraded and updated 2D and 3D
CNC wire bending solutions, single
and double bending head machines
with Fanuc robotics integration and
complete automated systems all form
part of the bender.
In all instances, wire can be fed
directly from a coil, straightened, bent
and cut using a software package that
provides flexibility and simplicity in
programming and is offered in all
universal languages.

Ajex & Turner Wire Dies Co is
synonymous with quality, durability
and strength. It provides leading edge
and innovative solutions to the explicit
requirements of the wire and cable
industry.
Its R&D team, in association with
overseas technical experts, has
developed diamond coated (CVD) dies
(popularly called Nano dies) for copper
and aluminium compacting and
in-house pneumatic semi-automatic
tungsten carbide die polishing and
grinding machine model TCD-10, with
a bore range from 0.4 to 22mm.
Diamond coated (CVD) dies, which are
a completely new set of diamond dies
are far less than the cost of solid
diamond nib. After continuous research
on diamond coated (CVD) dies, Ajex
has introduced more than 1mm plasma
alloy of diamond coated (CVD) coating
with zirconia layer.
For lowering its cost, Ajex is using CVD
technology for making these dies. It
can re-cut, re-polish, resize and recoat
these dies up to 29mm because of the
many layers. For larger sizes, re-cut
and re-sizing is not possible.
TCD-10 in-house pneumatic semi-
automatic tungsten carbide die
polishing and grinding machine will
keep customers ahead in the area of
die polishing and grinding as it saves
time and energy and is also cost
effective.
The machine operates at high speed
and can recondition dies in a short
period. It provides accurate and precise
angles on re-cut dies. Customers can
achieve a mirror polish using diamond
suspension and steel pins.

has supplied more than 1,000 projects
with a complete range of high speed,
state-of-the-art straight line and fine
wire drawing machines for high
production drawing of wires, which
lowers operator interference.
The company has developed the
straight line wire drawing machine
technology with a range of machines
with varying capstan diameters from
1,200mm down to 300mm for inlet
wire diameters of 40mm down to
0.7mm and up to .30 fine wires with
line speeds up to 25m/sec.
The machines give excellent drawing
performance for low, medium and high
carbon steel wire, stainless steel wire
and special alloy steel wire, as well as
non-ferrous wires.
