Swagelok Company, USA, develops and
provides fluid system solutions, including
products, assemblies and services. These
products are designed for applications
including instrumentation, pharmaceutical,
oil and gas, power, petrochemical,
alternative fuels, and semi-conductor.
The company’s new SK series multipurpose
ball valves offer positive, quarter-turn
shut-off for general process and control
applications in fluid systems. Key features
of the valves are 316 stainless steel
construction, spring-loaded seats, floating
ball, and low-torque operation.
The spring-loaded seats and floating ball
provides leak-tight integrity in both low- and
high-pressure systems, while reducing wear
and extending lifecycle. Low-torque allows for
easy manual operation and the use of smaller
pneumatic and electric actuators. The valves
are suitable for installation in panels.
In addition to manual actuation, SK
series valves are available with standard
Swagelok or ISO 5211-compliant rack and
pinion pneumatic actuators. End connection
options include Swagelok gaugeable
tube fitting, NPT and ISO pipe, and VCO®
O-ring face seal. Sizes are ¼", 3/8", 6mm
and 8mm.
The new valves are rated for working
pressures to 6,000 psi (413 bar), and
temperatures ranging from -40º to 302°F
(-40º to 150°C).

Zeleziarne Podbrezová, Slovakia, is a well-
known producer of seamless steel tubes.
The company is also a supplier of welded
tubes and buttwelding pipe fittings, elbows
and reducers, forged flanges and other
forgings. These products are manufactured
by its subsidiary ZP Prako.
The production range of elbows is from
½" up to 24", and reducers from ¾"
up to 4". The flange dimension range
is from NW 15 (20/80mm) to NW 200
(219/320mm).
All of these products are produced
from carbon and alloy steel and are
manufactured according to world
standards.
