Departmental Intranet Sites

Each City department is responsible for maintaining and updating its intranet site, unless the

department has requested maintenance assistance from Public Affairs. All departmental intranet

sites should:

strive to be a

resource

for all City employees by including useful and pertinent departmental

information that is not available on the City‟s external website

strive to meet the

informational needs

of the department‟s employees in a timely fashion;

these informational needs may include but are not limited to:

minutes of meetings

committees

changes in policies/procedures

internal training opportunities

provide access to departmental documents/forms, including those that would be beneficial to

employees in other departments

include contact information

provide an opportunity for employee feedback
