Meetings
Meeting Schedule
The Planning and Zoning Board shall establish a schedule of regular meetings—including the date,
time, and location of meetings—and keep a copy of the schedule on file with the Town Clerk. The
Chair may adjourn a regular meeting on determining that there are no agenda items for
consideration, and may call a special or emergency meeting in accordance with state law.
Meeting Notice
Notice of all Planning and Zoning Board meetings shall be provided in accordance with state law
and the public meeting requirements in Section
2.4.5.B, Public Notice.Open Meetings
All Planning and Zoning Board meetings shall be open to the public in accordance with state law.
Meeting Procedure
In conducting its meetings, the Planning and Zoning Board shall follow rules of procedure adopted
in accordance with Sectio
n 2.2.3.I, Rules of Procedure,consistent with the procedural requirements
of this Ordinance and state law.
Meeting Record
The Planning and Zoning Board shall keep full and accurate minutes of its meetings in accordance
with state law, including its findings and decisions and the votes thereon. Meeting minutes shall be
a public record in accordance with state law.
G.
Quorum and Vote
Quorum
Three members of the Planning and Zoning Board shall constitute a quorum. No official business of
the board shall be conducted without a quorum present.
Voting
The concurring vote of a majority of Planning and Zoning Board members present and constituting
a quorum shall be required for all decisions of the board, other than to adjourn a meeting for lack
of a quorum.
H.
Conflict of Interest
A Planning and Zoning Board member shall not participate in the review of, or vote on, a development
application if the outcome of the matter is reasonably likely to have a direct, substantial, and readily
identifiable financial impact on the member.
I.
Rules of Procedure
The Planning and Zoning Board shall adopt rules of procedure governing its procedures and operations.
Copies shall be made available for public inspection in the Planning Department.

Powers and Duties
To exercise the authority granted it by state law and the Town’s charter, the Town Council shall have the
following powers and duties under this Ordinance.
