Please include how frankfurters were prepared. The manuscript describes how inoculum
was inoculated by bulk, but it's not clear if the frankfurters were ground, chopped,
blended, etc. And, how was the bulk product mixed (blender, mixer, by hand?)

It would be useful to mention the matrices and the reference methods under study.
2. Strains
In Table 2 it is mentioned for orange juice, S. Worthington and for hot dogs S. Thompson. In
Table 1 these names are inverted.
3. On page 5 line 24 PODR has to be added
4. On page 10 line 2 ( d) and on page 43 line 7 item 23, "removing and sealing ......" has to
be changed by "sealing and removing ........"
5. On page 10 line 14, range of the incubator and water bath do not agree with the
reference methods
