Solutions for
sustainable
infrastructure
Borouge, a provider of plastics solutions, demonstrated its
polyolefins solutions for sustainable infrastructure, including
large diameter pipes and durable wires and cables, at
the WETEX: Water, Energy, Technology and Environment
Exhibition 2012, in which the company participates as a
strategic sponsor.
Organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority
(DEWA) in cooperation with the Dubai Supreme Council of
Energy, Borouge showcased its latest innovative solutions
at the stand, which was visited by a large number of
representatives of local authorities (end-users) and regional
water and cable companies, as well as customers and
developers of infrastructure projects.
At the Borouge stand Wim Roels, chief executive officer
of Borouge’s marketing and sales company, Hussain
Sultan Lootah, senior vice president Middle East Africa,
and members of the company’s executive team in the
Middle East introduced visitors to a variety of the latest
plastics solutions that Borouge provides for sustainable
infrastructure, including pipe systems and power and
communication cables.
Demonstrating samples of large diameter pipes made of
Borouge’s polyolefins for industrial applications, Hussain
Sultan Lootah highlighted the durability, flexibility and
chemical resistance features of polyethylene (PE) and
polypropylene (PP) grades provided by Borouge, making
them suitable for manufacturing 3,000mm diameter pipes.
