WRAS approval of EasyFit isolator
NLB Engineering has announced that
the Aladdin EasyFit Isolator, a quick-fit
plumbing isolation valve for pressurised
pipe, received WRAS approval in May
2012. The Aladdin EasyFit Isolator
clamps around a 15mm copper or
plastic pipe and allows an isolation
valve to be installed quickly and easily,
providing a permanent stopcock in the
system.
Uses of the Aladdin EasyFit Isolator
include as an emergency fitting, where
the stopcock is inaccessible or will
not work; as a convenience device
in multi-occupancy buildings, where
water supply to one area needs to
be worked on without inconveniencing
other occupants; as a time-saving
fitting, avoiding the time-wasting delays
associated with freezing or draining-
down; and as a ‘green’ alternative,
particularly to gas-freezing.
