Human Resources with medical documentation of the qualifying condition. The request should

also include the length of time this handicap parking will be needed. The Medical Services

Supervisor, in collaboration with the Transportation Department’s Parking Operations

Office, will determine if an employee qualifies for a handicapped parking privilege and may

require additional information prior to making the decision.

6.2 Transit Passes

A. A benefit eligible employee who would prefer to utilize a transit pass rather than receive

the parking subsidy should contact the Public Transportation Division in the Transportation

Department to make arrangements to obtain the transit pass.

B. To obtain the transit pass, the employee must agree to abide by the conditions as outlined in

Section 5.2 of this policy.
