_μήδεα: the genitals. From μέδειν (“to rule over”) and to begin
procreation we have <*μέδεα>, and, with exchange of delta and
zeta, μέζεα. … or also <μέζεα, the> middle parts of the body. Cf.
Hesiod, “they put their tales under their genitals”, and Archilo-
chus: “severed the sinews of (the middle) parts”
_Medea: vaginas. From medein: ruling/having power over birth.
Also, mezea by transposition of z for d, with the accent on either
syllable, meaning the middle parts of the body, the middle por-
tion of it. The middle parts, the tasty ones.
_The vagina: appetizers. From mezea (ancient greek) i.e. the mid-
dle parts ruling over reproduction and mezea (turkish) appetiz-
ers, with the diminutive ending meze-dakia.

whole armies of them
now trace
solitary sojourns
on our dinner table
you have piled pears
in the basket to ripen
you are speaking of comrades
and the shield you dropped
in the game of love
speaks of your valorous defeat
it signifies that truly
through the ivy the sea
does signal to you
puzzled distant turbulent
Archilochus, vibrant teasing
sensuous, ironic poignant

a cicada out of sync
