ESF Schools

The English Schools Foundation (ESF) runs 21 schools across Hong Kong providing cost effective

English medium education to students who cannot access the local education stream. The ESF is

sub-ventedby theHongKonggovernmentandasthus,theyareable tocharge lowerfeesthan

other internationalschools.

Recently ESF have instituted a ‘one-off’ refundable entry levy for school fees. More information is

In the English Schools Foundation system, the school your child attends depends entirely on the

neighborhood in which you live. This is the only private school system in Asia whose population is

neighborhood (catchment) based.TheESF schools follow the International Baccalaureate Primary

Years Program and Diploma Programwith a British National Curriculum emphasis. They also

offer an Advanced Diploma, Intermediate Diploma and Foundation Diploma to cater to a range of

students. School uniforms are worn until IGCSE level.
