USE OF ACCESS CARDS

Associates, temporary workers, consultants and contractors who are issued building access security cards, or

“badges,” are asked to follow these guidelines regarding their use:

Wear or display badge at all times.

Do not loan badge to another person.

P

P

Take ID photo for badge within one week of employment/contract.

P

P

Beware of “tailgaters,” unauthorized persons who follow closely behind an access card user to enter

ICMA‑RC office space.

Report any suspicious persons or activity immediately to Corporate Support Services and Building Security

or the police if the situation, in your best judgment, requires this.

Report lost or stolen badges to Corporate Support Services within 24 hours.

VISITORS

Field associates, temporary workers without an ID badge, contractors, consultants or business associates

(

including former ICMA‑RC associates

) are considered visitors. Visitors must display their temporary picture ID tag,

which must be obtained at the visitor kiosks in the building lobby. After obtaining this temporary ID tag,

visitors must be escorted from the lobby to our corporate offices by an ICMA‑RC associate and should be

accompanied by an ICMA‑RC associate at all times.

Under no circumstances will visitors be granted access to ICMA‑RC facilities in the evenings or on weekends

without being accompanied by an ICMA‑RC associate.

Escort Service at Washington, D.C., Offices

Associates at our headquarters offices who are working late and/or traveling via metro or commuter train may

request an escort to Union Station and local parking areas. This building service is available from 8:30 a.m.

until 9:30 p.m. To request an escort, contact Building Security.

Accidents on ICMA‑RC Premises

If you are injured or involved in an accident on ICMA‑RC premises, on client premises, or while engaged in

work activities on behalf of ICMA‑RC, you must contact your supervisor and Human Resources in person or,

if necessary, by voice mail or email to leave a message.

to ensure that

appropriate emergency procedures are followed.

It is critical that the corporation be notified and provided all relevant details about an accident or injury as quickly

as possible, even during hours when ICMA‑RC is officially closed. If warranted, the corporation will file a claim/

report as required under workers’ compensation laws and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.

A NOTE TO TELECOMMUTERS REGARDING ACCIDENT REPORTING

If you are a telecommuter, you will be covered by workers’ compensation for job-related injuries that occur in

your designated work area during your defined work period. In the event of a job-related incident, accident,

or injury, you should report the incident to your supervisor or Human Resources as soon as possible to follow

established procedures. Check the
