Appendix B: Uniform Crime Report Information
This section presents information obtained from Uniform Crime Reports (UCR) collected by the
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The table and figures include the most recent information
that is publicly available at the national level. This includes crime reports for 2006 through 2014.
Crime rates shown in all tables and figures are per 100,000 population. In this appendix, the
information reported at the state and national level is an aggregate of all reports at the agency level.
This usually differs slightly but not significantly from the FBI’s own results for national crimes as
well as the state’s own results for its total crime rates.
