Imperial Punch.
(One quart of punch.)
Take 1 bottle of claret.
1 bottle of soda-water.
4 table-spoonfuls of powdered white sugar dis–
$ tea-spoonful ofgrated nutmeg.
1 liqueur-glass of Maraschino.
About half pound of ice.
3 or 4 slices of cucumber rind.

Put all the ingredients into a pitch.r and m.'x well.

$ gallon of brandy.
> gallon of Jamaica rum.
1 pound of white sugar.
1 j quart of water.
1 pint of boiling milk.
Take 61emons, in slices.
S teep the l emons fo r t w e n t y - f our h our s i n t h e
brandy and rum; t hen add the sugar, water and milk,
and when well mixed, strain through a jelly-bag.
This punch may be bottled, and used afterwards hot
Half the above quantity, or even less, made be made,
as the recipe is for a party of twenty.
