encounter Surrey’s heritage after school
program. Surrey Museum staff engage
children’s curiosity with a hands-on
collection of artifacts, photographs, crafts
and activities to be experienced at the

Badge Program
Heritage Home Skills
Guides, Brownies and Sparks tour the
farm to learn about people of the past.
Prepare applesauce on a wood-burning
stove, use a hand churn to make fresh
butter, do old-style chores and sew your
own bean bag. Finish with a traditional
barn dance. This program covers six of
the requirements for a Heritage Home
Skills badge.
