High Five - Principles
of Healthy Child
Development

Designed for people that provide
direct leadership to children (age 6-12)
across a broad spectrum of programs,
this session provides participants with
an approach that ensures a healthy
experience for each child. 16yrs+
I AM Game – Training

I AM Game is the City of Surrey’s
unique approach to fun and inclusive
sport programs that promote
physical literacy. Training introduces
instructors, coaches and volunteers
to I AM Game principles and coaching
strategies that help participants build
movement skills and confidence with
physical activity and sport.
Emergency First Aid &
CPR Level C
$30
Learn basic first aid techniques
and the skills needed to recognize
and respond to cardiovascular and
choking emergencies for adults,
children and infants (CPR C). Includes
injury management, personal scene
safety and AED (Automatic External
Defibrillator). Red Cross certificate
issued (3 year expiry).

Emergency Preparedness
Get ready for an emergency, this
course will assist you in being
personally prepared at home, work
or school. Learn how to identify
the risks in your home and find out
how to make your own emergency
preparedness kit. Co-sponsored
with the Emergency Neighbourhood
Preparedness Program.

Explore everything Surrey has to
offer! You’ll learn about the history
of our diverse City and find out why
Surrey is a great place to live, work
and play. Co-sponsored with Toursim
Surrey.
Introduction to Public
Speaking
Gain confidence while learning how
to improve your public speaking
and leadership skills. Topics include
speech organization, using gestures,
eye contact, humour and overall
delivery. Co-sponsored with
Toastmasters.
Employment Preparation
Gain valuable skills that will be
beneficial in your job search. This
interactive workshop will focus on
skills assessment, resume/cover letter
development, interview techniques
and employment resources.
