Porter Sangaree

Shake up i drink of Port Wine in a

glass half full of shaved ice and I tea-

spoonful of pulverized sugar. Strain

into a small glass. Add a little ground

nutmeg and i twist of lemon peel.

Follow recipe for Claret Punch, except

you use Port Wine instead of Qaret,

and use y2 the amount of sugar.

In a stone crock mix i pint each of

porter and beer, then stir in i jigger

of brandy, 2 teaspoonfuls of ginger

syrup,

of a ground nutmeg, and 2

tablespoonfuls of sugar. Cover and

chill for an hour or so. When ready

to serve add i teaspoonful of carbonate

of soda and cucumber rind.

Follow recipe for Ale Sangaree, using

porter for ale.
