sugar,empty again ; now put in two lumps ice, two

thirds jigger brandy, piece twisted lemon-peel; fill

up with champagne.

Morning Cocktail.

(Use medium-size glass.)

Take 3 dashes syrup.

2 dashes Curagoa.

2 dashes Angostura or Boker's bitters.

I dash absinthe.

I pony brandy.

I pony whiskey.

Stir well, and strain into long, thin glass, filling

it up with fresh apollinaris, and stir with a spoon

having a little sugar in it.

Hendrick Cocktail.

(Use old-fashioned toddy glass.)

Fill two thirds full ice.

Take 2 dashes syrup.

2 dashes bitters.

I dash absinthe.

I jigger old Kentucky bourbon.

I small slice lemon.

Stir, and serve in the same glass without strain

ing.
