You can request a meeting with the Peer Roundtable by contacting any Roundtable member. Members will
provide you with suggestions, coaching, opinions and/or advice regarding the handling of your concern.
After hearing from the Roundtable, you can continue to work with your supervisor, division head and/or HR
to resolve your concern. If you are still unable to resolve the issue to your satisfaction, you can file a formal,
written appeal to HR asking for a final determination.
(See below.)
See the
Peer Roundtablelink at the top of the homepage of
my.icmarc.orgfor member names and contact numbers
as well as the Roundtable charter and process.
A Formal, Written Appeal
A formal appeal process is available if you have been unable to resolve your concern through the above
channels; that is, through discussions within your division using normal channels, and/or by using the Peer
Roundtable.
In making an appeal, you must state clearly in writing the basis of your concern, including the relevant facts
and the solution you are seeking. The appeal must be submitted to your immediate supervisor and Human
Resources. HR will review your appeal and notify you of its decision. An appeal is normally responded to
within ten business days unless a specific reason for a delay is provided.
In all cases regarding formal appeals, the decision of the head of Human Resources, following input from
the division head, will be final. If you report directly to the division head, Human Resources may involve
the CEO or his/her designee in the determination process. For appeals made by associates within Human
Resources, the CEO or his/her designee will make the final decision.
DOCUMENTATION OF THE PROBLEM-SOLVING AND APPEALS PROCESS
All participants must submit copies of any and all written documentation pertaining to problem resolution
and, if applicable, the formal appeal process to Human Resources in a timely manner.
