PTFE is used in wire insulation
and jacketing applications, film
and tube production where the
following properties are required:
high temperature stability, chemical
resistance, electrical properties at
thin gauges, non-flammable, UV inert
and low adhesion.
In order to be compliant with
RoHS and REACH directives and to
solve some of the inherent problems
with dispersed pigments for PTFE,
Colorant Chromatics has introduced a
new range of dispersed pigments for
the colouration of PTFE fine powder.
This new range of naphtha-based
dispersed pigments is formulated
with heavy metal free pigments and
is believed to offer a number
of advantages, including:

Thin fluid dispersions with light •
thixothropic character
Minimal settling; very easy to •
homogenise with mild mixing
