under supervision of Port Health

inner coffin of lead or zinc (if relatives
want to view corpse ideally glass window
is to be provided in inner lining), which in
its turn must be packed in wooden coffin,
latter is again packed to protect from
damage, in case and/or may be covered
up by canvas or tarpaulin so that
contents is not apparent
• Following documents must accompany
remains: (a)Certificate of Death
(b)Certificate of Identity (c)Certificate of
Embalmment (d)Burial permit issued by
police authority (e)document certifying
that human remains may be safely
transported without any danger or risk to
public health issued by health authority

• According to local practice, all original
documents are sealed in an envelope &
handed over to flight captain (if
transportation is by air) or master (if
transportation is by sea). Set of copies of
original documents is affixed to outer
covering of packaging
