dash of Angostura bitters.

Cut some rounds of bread, and

pile them with grated American

cheese. If the cheese that you

grate is quite stale, the canapes

will have a rich flavor. Fry these

rounds in sizzling hot butter, un–

til the cheese melts. Serve pip–

ing hot.
