the visit of this sub-committee to London it was stated that matters were on a more
friendly basis and the hope was expressed that the legitimate work of the Centre will
now go on unhindered.
WINTER PROGRAMME. In addition to the Annual Ball, dates for three Pie Suppers
& Dances to be booked - tickets 5/0d. (Jan.9th, Feb.15th, Nov.1st (incl. the Prize
Presentation). J.Hurst's offer to provide two Bands for the Annual Ball for 51 guineas
was accepted. Menu, cost 5/6d, provided by R.Spark & Sons. Complimentary
tickets were offered to the Dirt-Track officials.
TWO TEAMS were entered in the Centre Team Trial and G.C.Parkinson and
H.Whitfield were entered in the Amateur T.T.Race and granted £20 expenses.

During the year members of the Club have competed in other Open and Closed
Competitions,
R.F.Parkinson obtaining successes at Southport, Pendine and St.Andrews;
J.T.Jobborn at Doncaster; A.V.Buttress in the York-Edinburgh-York Trial; and the
Middlesbrough No.1 Team were third in the Centre Team Trial. The Club were
represented in the T.T.Races by F.W.Dixon, R.F.Parkinson and James Guthrie.
