Metformin/biguanides:

ial transient impairment of renal function
with possible lactic acidosis. Monitor

Interleukin-2:
Increased risk of delayed
reactions. Monitor closely.
Beta blockers:
Atypical anaphylaxis. Monitor
closely.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in individuals with known
hypersensitivity to the preparation or a
history of serious hypersensitivity to iohexol;
and in those with thyrotoxicosis, anuria or
decompensated cardiac insufficiency. Also
contraindicated in carotid angiography,
during the progressive period of stroke, in
coronary arteriography in the first 4 weeks
after MI and in the presence of infection
or open injury in or near the region to be
examined.
care considerations
• Closelymonitor individualfordevelopment
of anaphylactic reaction. Ensure emergency
management equipment is available and in
correct working order.
• Monitor vital signs and renal function
closely following procedure.
