FRED W.DIXON won the T.T.Race on the Ards Circuit and a letter of congratulation
was sent to him. He was also successful in winning the Empire Trophy on
Brooklands Track.
ALF.W.ARMSTRONG was married in June at St.Lukes Church, Thornaby to Miss
Doris Russell and they left for a motoring honeymoon. Subscription list was opened
to provide a suitable present.
W.McMASTER was again appointed to represent the Club on the Committee for the
Institute for the Blind Dance.
The Club were consulted by F.A.Sakkitt on the formation of a Club in Sunderland.

ANNUAL BALL. Provisionally booked for the 27th Dec.1934 was held on Jan.3rd
1935. It showed a profit of £1.11.7d. Donations were received from Winterschladens
and by E.Spark Ltd.
RUNS were made to the Lake District, White Horse Kilbum (Captains Day),
Patterdale (Ladies Day). Surprise Run conducted by G.Blincoe to the Garden of Mr
& Mrs Wood at Old Shotton. Church Parade at Carlton-in-Cleveland, also attended
by members of the Stockton and South Leeds Motor Clubs. To Whorlton. Childrens
Day Run to Marske.
A CRICKET. MATCH was held at Newton-under-Roseberry on June 19th and the
ANNUAL FOOTBALL MATCH with the High School Old Boys took place on
Dec.26th at Darmans Ground, Oxford Road.
THE GOLF SECTION continued their activities and 40 members joined. Matches
took place at Saltburn, Loftus, Linthorpe and Tees-Side Golf Courses. W.Forrest
was the winner of a Silver Cup presented by the Club and C..Weastell, professional
of the Middlesbrough Golf Club, presented a Silver Cup to be competed for annually.
A FILM SHOW by E.A.Morris of Harrogate and a Lecture on Gliding by a member of
the Newcastle Gliding Club.
FORMATION OF A LADIES CONCERT PARTY. Agreed that they rehearse on
Sunday afternoons, the prime movers being Miss H.Beavis and Miss Mills. This
never got off the ground,
WEEKLY WHIST DRIVES & DANCE continued its popularity and lady members
under Mrs A.Liddle and Mrs Hodgson successfully organised same together with 4
Bridge Drives which showed a profit of £7.13.9d.
VISITS were received from the staff of the Tees Conservancy Commission and
British Titan Products Sports Group.
THE DINNER & PRIZE PRESENTATION was held in the Club on Friday, Nov.8th,
Gentlemen only. Guests included Fred Marshall, President of the Yorkshire Centre,
Dr.E.J.Burnett and T.McKenna Saltburn U.D.G., two representatives from the
Stockton Club and the Betterset Concert Party entertained. Tickets were strictly
limited at the cost of 3/6d each.
