The A.G.M. was held on Feb.17th. Chair was taken by W.Tattersall and upwards of
60 members attended. It was considered that the activities carried out during the
year under review (1935) had been a great credit to the Club and the Committee.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT. The President, Fred W.Dixon occupied the Chair during
the discussion of the Balance Sheet. It was reported that the Turnover amounted to
£3323.19.0d which was a record. The Balance of Assets over Liabilities amounted
to £478.8.3d which, compared with 1934 showed a decrease, accounted for by the
alterations, redecorations and renewals that took place during the year.

F.C.Barker.
Captain - J.Gash, V/Capt - G.G.Bensley.
Treasurer - H.F.Houghton.
5 members of the Committee - W.Tattersall, J.F.Dixon, C.L.Hodgson,
A.W.Armstrong, W.Forrest.
An EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING was held on 6th Jan. when a new
revised set of Rules was submitted and approved.
CHAIRMAN. At the first meeting of the Committee T.A.Hanson was elected,
F.C.Barker V/Chairman. Jack Gash was appointed to represent the Club on the
Teesside Safety First Council.
HOSPITAL INSURANCE SCHEME. After some dispute on payment to be made to
the hospital and for the use of an. ambulance it was agreed to meet the charge of
£1.1.8d.
Another claim from the N.Ormesby Hospital in respect of a member who had been
detained 3 days, was paid,
CLUBHOUSE MATTERS. Fred W.Dixon, having requested that the mortgage on the
premises should be cleared in a period of 4 years, it was decided to approach the
Bank for an overdraft for this to be effected. They offered to advance a sum of £900
on the security of the premises and it was agreed to pay Mr Dixon £1,000 to
discharge the mortgage,, An Extraordinary General Meeting to approve of same
was held on the 28th Sept. The insurance on the premises was revised.
Improvements to the premises included a domestic hot water supply, seats around
the Billiard Room upholstered, lighting improved by the fitting of Century type lamps
and the question of scrapping the then heating system was considered.
A.C.Allen reported he was trying to Improve the outside appearance by cultivating
the garden surrounds.
LADY MEMBERS. Considerable dissatisfaction was expressed at ladies being
allowed to use the Billiard tables particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings, and it
was decided to write to the two ladies concerned asking them to refrain from using
the tables on these evenings.
